3 Simple Tips for a Timeless Wedding Album

You’ve planned your wedding very well—from choosing stunning venues to taking care of the very last detail of your boutonniere—and you have the Best Photographer in Arizona to capture every moment and detail of this very special day.

The next question is, how do you create a keepsake that holds all the big moments and little details you’ve carefully planned for months? How do you sort through hundreds of photos professionally taken by your Phoenix Indian Wedding Photographer and curate a collection you’ll want to reminisce again and again through the years of your marriage? Putting together a wedding album can feel daunting, but we’ve got a few tips to help you get started.

1. Include only the shots that matter the most

When picking photos to include in your album, your very favorites are the priority. Start narrowing down your favorites to 20-30 shots. Go with your instinct when choosing. For this set, it doesn’t matter when in the day they happened, or who’s in them. Your favorites are your favorites. Next, select the ones with the best details and shows the most appealing vibe. Then, find the best photo from each major event of the day: getting ready, signing the marriage contract, the key ceremony and reception moments. Finally, go through the formal portrait shots of family and the wedding party. As you go through each photo, be sure to look closely on everyone’s faces for strange expressions or closed eyes. Check with your Payson Wedding Photographer how many photos to include in your album, so you can decide accordingly.

2. Go for clean and classic layout

Just like fashion, less is more when it comes to the layout of your wedding album. The fewer photos you have, the more they speak for themselves. Take photos all the way to the edge of the page for more impact, and put white space around for more intimate photos to draw the viewer in. Minimize text and never overlap photos. It can look cluttered and tacky. Also, beware of the way embellishments can make your album look dated in the long run. Keep photos aligned straight on the page, and use more white spaces than you expected to create focus. Plenty of white spaces is the cleanest layouts and looks more timeless.

3. Choose a strong cover

You’re looking for a cover that makes you want to pick up your album again and again. Whether it’s a color you love, an image, or a textured material, you want something you love looking at the most. If you’re choosing an image for the cover, pick one that not only features you as a couple in a gorgeous way, but also has some open space in the photo composition where the title of the album can appear. Look for horizontal images taken by your Tucson Indian Wedding Photographer with the focal point on the right, and you can wrap the cover in one stunning picture.
