Perhaps, every company owner knows that Yelp’s review system is pretty controversial. Unfortunately, since so many consumers rely so much on Yelp for company and product recommendations, businesses need to find a way to get their positive reviews online—especially on Yelp.
However, Yelp claimed that they filter their reviews on a company’s profile if they believe the reviews are suspicious (e.g. posted from the same IP address, the reviewer has no complete profile, reviews are purchased, etc.).
While their review filtering system significantly helps with their credibility, Yelp purposely calls out companies to encourage them to pay for advertising in order to unblock hidden reviews. That is, apparently, the downside of it. We, at Saiaf Films, believe in honest advertising from clients’ genuine reviews and not from paid recommendations from advertising websites.
