Our Scottsdale Wedding Videographer Capture Epic Footage at a Jewish Wedding
Ashley and Michael first contacted Saiaf Films when they were in search of a Scottsdale wedding videographer. They were in need of a team that could capture their Jewish wedding ceremony and reception at the Royal 
Palms in Scottsdale. When we first met the beautiful couple, we were instantly intrigued by their vibrant personalities. Their excitement and passion for their upcoming wedding was contagious and our team knew it was going to be a great event. From the start, their wedding was beautifully orchestrated. With an amazing string quartet playing the tunes of their ceremony- the theme of the wedding was class and elegance.
Our Scottsdale wedding videographer began the day by capturing stunning footage of the beautiful bride as she prepared for her big day. Her bridesmaids were there to share in her excitement as she got ready. It was an iconic moment as her closest friends and family were there to make her laugh. One of our favorite moments was when Ashley placed her elegant diamond sash on her wedding dress. She looked stunning! As wedding videographers, we always try to capture the most meaningful wedding moments on film. One of those moments was a shot we obtained of an elegant little heart that was embroidered on the inside of her lovely mermaid wedding dress. The heart was a symbol to represent the bride’s father. It’s 
details such as these that make our wedding videography unforgettable!
The Royal Palms provided an impressive amount of wonderful backdrops for our Scottsdale wedding videographer to capture on film. The sun shone through the surrounding mature palms perfectly. The vibrant green grass set the stage where the guests would witness the ceremony. Camelback Mountain towered in the background, creating a stunning Arizona tone to their Jewish wedding. The reception itself was held inside an exquisite ballroom. Our Scottsdale wedding videographer visited the ballroom before any guests had arrived and captured the elegance of their wedding decor. There were alluring green centerpieces that were accented with the perfect amount of candle lighting. The wedding decor set the tone for a peaceful, yet elegant event. One of our favorite moments was when the bridal party and the newlyweds made their grand entrance. Our Scottsdale wedding videographer was there to obtain the feel and excitement for that epic moment.
Throughout the night, Ashley and Michael’s Jewish wedding ceremony maintained an air of elegance and excitement. Our Team of Sikh Wedding Photographers Describe the Events of a Sikh Wedding
Planning a Sikh wedding? You’ve come to the right spot! Our team at Saiaf Films specializes in Sikh wedding photography. Therefore, we have attended an impressive number of Sikh weddings. That also means we are no strangers to the customs, traditions and events that take place at a Sikh wedding celebration. As Sikh wedding photographers, we have the opportunity to get up close and capture all the meaningful moments that unfold in front of us at the Anand Karaj (the wedding ceremony of a Sikh couple.)
Here, we would like to share a quick reference for the main traditions that take place at a Sikh wedding. Whether you are planning a Sikh wedding of your own, or you plan to be a guest, this article can act as a guide to what you may see, participate in or may be planning for your future Sikh wedding experience.
Roka: The roka takes place when the family of the bride and groom agree to the couple’s alliance. This is usually a simple event where the bride’s family meets the groom’s family. It represents the beginning of a relationship between both families and symbolizes the couple’s engagement.
Sangeet: The sangeet normally takes place a couple days before the ceremony. It usually involves only the women and consists of music, dancing and celebrating!
Mehendi: This ceremony is also a ladies only event and involves the application of mehendi to the bride’s hands. 
The bride’s family will then welcome the groom’s family once the mehendi application is complete. As Sikh wedding photographers, we have enjoyed capturing this particular event on film, as it is a very monumental moment for the bride. (Check out examples of our stunning mehendi photography here!)
Vatna: This event involves the bride and groom. It is a celebration where they have vatna (a tumeric, sandalwood powder, besan and mustard oil paste) applied to their bodies. It is said to create a “glow” to their skin in anticipation for their wedding day.
Gharoli: This ceremony takes place on the day of the wedding and involves the groom. His relatives will carry an earthen pitcher on their heads to procure holy water that is used for the groom to bathe in on his important day.
Milni: This is another exciting and monumental moment (especially for the Sikh wedding photographers.) Here, the groom and his baraat visit the bride’s home. The moment involves great vigor and style. It symbolizes the joining of both families where they greet each other and place garland upon one another.
The Wedding: Once together, the couple and their guests join for the ceremony. The wedding involves four hymns of Laav that are performed in the four nuptial rounds of a Sikh wedding ceremony. Each phase has a special and meaningful significance that defines the marriage of the soul-bride to the divine husband.

Nisha and Neel’s Atlanta Wedding
As traveling wedding photographers, we have the amazing ability to visit a variety of beautiful locations to capture impressive and exciting weddings on film. One of our favorite places to visit is the wonderful city of Atlanta. We have been there for numerous weddings and always enjoy visiting the beautiful area and all it has to offer.
In August 2015, we had the fantastic opportunity to be the wedding photographers in Nisha and Neel’s amazing Atlanta wedding. When we first met the couple, we immediately knew this was going to be an exciting event. They are an impressive and lovely couple and their event was nothing short of what we imagined!
The venue that the couple selected was a splendid location for their Atlanta wedding. It was decorated in an exquisite style that complimented their wedding nicely. Floating candles in clear vases were placed elegantly throughout the venue and accompanied larger vases that showcased vibrant white flowers and red roses.
There was a lighted backdrop that sparkled behind the couple and matched the hanging chandeliers- which created an unforgettable layout for amazing wedding photos! Nisha and Neel chose a delicious selection of cupcakes that were presented with an impressive table setup with a ring of yellow flowers
surrounded by beautiful colored rose petals that matched their wedding color palette perfectly.
Nisha was dressed in a beautiful light gold wedding dress that was adorned with perfectly placed jewels and beadwork upon it. She had gorgeous henna that was accented by impressive wedding jewelry. She looked absolutely stunning and was enthusiastic and excited throughout the entire Atlanta wedding. Nisha and Neel’s excitement was radiant and made for a memorable evening. Pre-Ceremony Rituals of a Sikh Wedding
Planning a Sikh wedding this season? Or perhaps you have been invited to one? Whether you are part of the wedding or an invited guest, it helps to have an idea of what to expect when you are attending a cultural rich event like a Sikh wedding. There are a variety of meaningful and intriguing rituals and events that take place at these types of weddings.
As multicultural wedding photographers, we have an impressive amount of experience capturing the key moments of a Sikh wedding. Therefore, we would like to share a simple breakdown of the pre-ceremony rituals you may witness or take part in at a Sikh wedding.
The Roka: The word Roka means “to stop.” The purpose of the Roka is to symbolize that the search for the perfect partner has ended- as the bride and 
groom have found each other. This takes place at the bride’s home where the groom’s family members are invited and two family members are arranged to meet.
The Taka: Taka means “set the date.” Once the Roka has taken place, the family will take the time to set the date for the wedding and any preparations are made for the engagement.
The Kurmai: This event involves a formal engagement ceremony. It is 
normally performed at the groom’s place. With the family present, the groom will present the engagement ring. The ceremony begins with a short prayer by a Sikh priest (a Granthi.) Then, a red scarf will be placed around the groom’s shoulder along with dried dates. The grandfather will feed the dried date to the groom. Afterwards, food and drinks are presented for everyone.
Chunni: During the Chunni, the groom’s mother will cover the bride’s head with a chunni (red scarf.) This represents that the bride will now be responsible for upholding the family pride and honor. The bride is dressed in clothing and jewelery by her inlaws. Then, the groom will mark the bride’s head with sindoor (red powder.) This initiates a sign of commitment. The bride and her family are offered sweets by the groom’s parents.

Zaira and Emilio’s Mexican Wedding in Scottsdale, AZ
Back in October of 2015, our team of Mexican wedding photographers had the privilege of attending the elegant Mexican wedding of Zaira and Emilio. When we first met the couple, they were in search of a team of wedding 
photographers to cover their outdoor wedding in Scottsdale. Like most Mexican influenced weddings, they were planning a very family oriented event. Zaira and Emilio were an extremely laid back and relaxed couple. We knew immediately that their event was going to be a great one.
To begin the day, our female photographers spent a couple hours with the beautiful bride while she got ready for her big day. Her personality was infectious and so exciting to capture on film. We always love having the privilege to have our female teams present 
for the moments of the bride getting ready. Those are always emotional and exciting times and the footage is unforgettable.
For Zaira and Emilio’s wedding, we had the opportunity to capture some amazing shots of the couple themselves. This particular venue had an eye catching clock post that was a dramatic addition to their elegant wedding photos. Our team captured a variety of wedding photos featuring this particular prop- and we loved them! The couple posed perfectly together and we were really able to capture their love and passion on film.
As with most Mexican weddings, the reception was ultra-exciting! There was an amazing Mariachi band and everyone danced the night away. Their tables had a stunning set up with majestic centerpieces that were elegant and added to the beauty and ambiance of their event. Wedding Spotlight: Zaydee and Alberto’s Hispanic Wedding
When we first met Zaydee and Alberto, we were extremely intrigued by their personalities. They were exciting, lively and completely in love. They had a passion for each other that was so strong and apparent. The beautiful couple was planning a Hispanic wedding with about 100-150 people at the stunning Villa Siena– and we couldn’t wait to be a part of it!
When the wedding day arrived, we knew it was going to be an amazing event. The couple had selected a gorgeous color palette of deep purples, blues and an ivory white. Zaydee looked absolutely spectacular in her wedding gown that was adorned with impressive jewels and beadwork. 
She was accented with diamond earrings and an eye-catching diamond hair clip that held her hair beautifully in place. Even her wedding shoes were perfectly selected to match her wedding ensemble. Zaydee looked absolutely radiant for her big day.
At this particular event, we were given the opportunity to capture unforgettable photos. The Villa Siena is full of 
amazing backdrops for perfect wedding photos. With dramatic archways, eye-catching greenery and scenic architecture- this venue was a wedding photographer’s dream come true! Inside the venue itself, there was grand ballroom that was accented with perfect wedding lighting and adorned with an almost medieval chandelier.
As multicultural wedding photographers, our team always appreciates the difference in the cultured weddings we attend. This particular Hispanic wedding held a loving and close-knit ambiance. The couple’s families were intriguing to watch as their bond was so obvious. At one particular moment, Zaydee had a first look with her father. It was done by surprise, and the moment was deep and memorable. She came out of the room, nearly in tears- and her father’s reaction was priceless. Our team cherishes these monumental moments. Rental Fees: Their rental fees range in price and a quote can be requested via their website.

Wedding Spotlight: An Epic Mexican and Arabic Wedding
In this week’s Wedding Spotlight, our team is proud to feature Rita and Hosam’s Mexican and Arabic wedding. After years as wedding photographers, we see beautiful and impressive wedding celebrations- all the time. This one in particular, was one of the most epic, invigorating and unforgettable events we have ever attended. Rita and Hosam were two very exciting and personable individuals. Their love for each other was so obvious- and amazing to capture on film. Our team genuinely enjoyed every minute of their beautiful multicultural wedding.
Getting Ready…
The day started as our team of female wedding photographers spent time with Rita, her bridal party and a few friends and family members as they got ready for the epic event. Rita got ready at a hotel with her crew as our photographers captured the wonderful memories on film. They were laughing and having an amazing time as they prepped for her big day. Rita looked stunning as we got remarkable footage of her and her mother, her bridesmaids and even by herself.
The Ceremony…
The ceremony was held at the exquisite Paseo near the Superstition Mountains. Our team has an unbelievable eye for amazing shots, so for us- the Paseo was a dream come true. The backdrop for their ceremony was breathtaking. With the magnificent Superstition Mountains on the horizon and a gorgeous surrounding scenery, our team was able to take monumental footage of their ceremony.
With all the weddings we attend, we genuinely enjoy the heartfelt moments that go with them. Rita and Hosam’s ceremony did not disappoint. At one particular moment, the couple exchanged some of the most moving and 
heartbreaking vows we have ever heard. They had such passion and shared their beautiful story making their love even more amazing to capture on film.
Post Ceremony Photoshoot…
After their romantic ceremony, our team of multicultural wedding photographers had the opportunity to do a personal and stunning photoshoot of Rita and Hossam. The couple were patient and easy to work with, as well as beautifully photogenic. The desert landscape stood behind them marvelously as we took individual shots of each as well as photos of them together looking amazingly in love!
Reception…
With a mixed influence from the Mexican and Arabic cultural, Rita and Hossam’s reception was an exciting and compelling event. The Paseo in particular was a fascinating venue. One aspect that stood out was the hall itself. It had such an invigorating open feel to it. Through the evening, the breeze would flow through and the ambiance was unforgettable. For the reception, Rita had changed into a beautiful dress allowing her the opportunity to dance the night away with her new husband. One of our favorite moments was when the angelic newlyweds were dancing under the string of luminous lights. They appeared to be so magically in love.
As multicultural wedding photographers, our team genuinely cherishes the mix of emotions and events of a multicultural wedding. Rita and Hossam’s wedding was truly one of the most epic and unforgettable events. It is one that we will cherish the memory of as the love, passion and excitement were so easy to capture on film. Nadine and Ayman’s Milwaukee Wedding
When we first met with Nadine and Ayman, we knew right away that their wedding was going to be an epic event. They are a truly amazing couple and we knew their Milwaukee wedding would be a great one to attend. For this particular Milwaukee wedding, our team utilized aerial drone videography to capture amazing and breathtaking shots of the wedding venue and the beautiful Milwaukee surroundings. The aerial drones were used to capture sweeping views that really showed the detail of the venue the couple selected as well as picturesque footage of the gorgeous coastline.
Our aerial drones are an unbelievable addition to the wedding packages that we offer and they provide our couples with footage that they will cherish forever. Our team at Saiaf Films only uses state-of-the-art equipment that is guaranteed to provide clean and crisp footage. One of our favorite moments captured by the aerial drone was when the moon had begun to rise over the water. There were birds flying over the coast and in front of the beautifully rising moon. It was unlike anything we had ever shot on film.
Our team of female videographers were on site as Nadine prepared for her important day. They captured unforgettable footage as the makeup artist and hair stylist prepared her ceremony. Wedding videography is such an amazing aspect for truly capturing the feeling of the moments being filmed. There were times where Nadine would smile beautifully and her happiness would be so apparent and infectious. She wore an elegant wedding dress that had a breathtaking lace design on the top portion. A string of diamonds encompassed her waist and was a beautiful addition to her already gorgeous dress. Nadine was highlighted with a subtle but perfect diamond hairpiece that matched perfectly with her diamond bracelet.
For the reception, the couple had selected the perfect color palette that featured a pale pink with a soft white. The tables were adorned with elegant centerpieces that were both subtle and impressive additions to their wedding decor. With floating candles and white rose bouquets, the elegance was obvious and perfect. Their friends and family danced through the night and were so exciting to film. Their energy and happiness for the couple was apparent in their will to celebrate. Our team was proud and grateful to be a part of their amazing event.
